Balfour Beatty Capital was originally established in the mid 1990’s, following the creation of private sector investment in the UK through the UK Government’s Private Finance Initiative (commonly referred to as PFI). Now a major investor in PFI, or PPP as it has become known, Balfour Beatty Capital is looking to further increase its UK PFI investment base and pursue new markets both in PFI and non-PFI infrastructure investments.
Beyond PFI, the company sees increasing opportunities for investing in infrastructure assets. The considerable knowledge base which the company has built up through its PFI experience together with knowledge and skills elsewhere in the group provides a powerful platform for such investment.
In addition to non-PFI opportunities in the UK, overseas offices have been established in the United States, Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore to manage our involvement in these markets as they continue to develop.
