Part of Balfour Beatty plc, a world-class engineering, construction and services group, Balfour Beatty Capital was originally established in the mid 1990s, following the creation of the UK Government’s Private Finance Initiative (commonly referred to as PFI). This initiative provides a means for the private sector to invest in assets traditionally funded by the public sector. Now a major investor in PFI, Balfour Beatty Capital is committed to further increasing its UK PFI investment base and to pursuing markets both in PFI and non-PFI infrastructure investments.
Balfour Beatty Capital has offices in locations across the UK. Balfour Beatty is expanding into Public Private Partnership (PPP) and PFI markets in the United States and Singapore.
